That pretty much sums up things around here. Life officially goes back to normal for me tomorrow.
Hope everyone had a great 4th. We spent the day at the beach with the entire family, it was fun. Hot, but fun. My family is so weird though. Everyone kind of knows about the adoption because my mom told them when I was going through my personal issue. But no one really brought it up and the few times I mentioned it no one really said much. Maybe I should ask mom exactly what she said! Whatever. There'll be plenty of time for excitement when the baby gets here.
We started looking on Craig's List for some interesting baby furniture. If you've never checked it out, be warned, it's addicting. It's basically a low tech on-line garage sale. It kind of reminds me of how ebay used to be before it got so ginormous and popular. So I'm on the lookout for some interesting things that can be repainted for the room. We've already inquired about a few things, so we'll see. Oh and I just bought this on a whim at the grocery store:
It's got some really great ideas, I recommend it.
That's it. That's all I got today.
(Yawn).

OMG that is too funny... Elle bought that exact same magazine when we were at the Mega Home Store this weekend. Not quite sure why since we already have Pickle's room done.
Love Craig's List. And addicting is right.
Regarding the family not mentioning adoption -- mine too. It's like they don't know what to say. My mom and dad rarely mention adoption to me, but they talk about it to everyone else. The clerk at the local party store knew how much my Russian adoption was costing me for goodness sake.
craigslist is fun for apartment hunting too! i was addicted last Fall when we were helping my sister find a place out here.
I love craigslist and that magazine looks like a keeper. I didn't even think about magazine ideas. Good idea.
My family is cool about the adoption thing, but they don't want to read about it in my blog (only a few show interest). Does your family read your blog?
That magazine is soo cute. I love the cover.
I got the same exact reaction from my family after my mother told them over the holidays last year. It was AWFUL. I felt really weird and funny and pissed off.
Get going on that furniture! Craigslist is great, I have never found anything to buy on it except the job I currently have.
let me tell you steph - i am excited enough for the whole lot of them...
Ok, it wasn't the exact same magazine, but it was a kid's room magazine. Couldn't tell you why I bought it... oh! and Captain Smartypants... for the record Pickle's room is not done. There is nothing on the walls.
And way to go chick for showing me Craig's List. I had heard of it, but never seen it before. Great. I may become an addict now.
Elle and Smartypants, stop that fighting or I will turn this car right around!!! (But for the record, I’m on Elle’s side, great minds think alike, even if she’s an addict now).
Margaret, Michelle, Jen & Jenny: Surprised to hear you all got similar reactions. What’s up with retarded families? No, my family doesn’t read my blog. I am thinking of starting a new one just for them with filtered info though.
Michelle: Marshmallow peeps, ugh. I thought I was the only one. But my advice is, don’t go alone (or unarmed).
Jill: Thanks! It’s great to have you going through this with me!
